Back for a new series with a new judge, Cheryl Cole from Girls Aloud joining Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, and Dannii Minogue. The auditions kick off in Manchester before moving to London and Cardiff. Cheryl is thrown in at the deep end on her first day when she has to judge a friend from her past. In the London auditions, a mother of five shows an amazing talent. And in Cardiff, possibly the worst boyband you'll ever see. Dermot O'Leary is your host.

make it big on the show so that he can be reunited with the parents
who left him in foster care. Plus, the judges audition a singer with
the longest note in X Factor history, and Louis faces a hopeful who
wants to go on a date with him.
